Default Youtube effect gameplay?

I was just wondering if youtube+p99 was a nono because for some reason when i play p99 with youtube i get really bad lag spikes, worse than usual. someone try it out i just want to know for sure if thats what it is.

This can be caused by two things: One, your video card is handling the hardware acceleration of the video and combining that with P99 is causing issues. Or, your Internet access isn't fast enough to handle it without any problems (possibly wireless issues).

Either way, if you play your youtube videos at a lower resolution it should either completely fix it or at least improve it (click the little gear a the bottom right to change it).

My laptop is two years old and handles background streaming fine. It might be either your exceedingly crappy computer or something like old drivers/codecs. I'm pretty much always listening to something while playing, including while AoE-kiting on my bard, and it isn't noticeable at all.

Restarting usually helps, unless you have an unusually slow processor/vcard which may contribute to the lag with multiple video processes
