Another ooc thread... but really....
Why not?
I got married recently, got a new job, am in process of moving so I have had almost no good computer time. Missing EQ and thinking I will eventually be able to play more I want to come back, but I log in to my level 11 shaman in east commonlands. Do a /who and see 1 other in zone who is afk. Over 100 people on, no way to communicate to any of them to see if someone wants to group. I kill lions and bears for an hour, get 1/2 a level and log off as the crickets and frogs or whatever those ambiant noises that play are going on. (which i love those noises btw) Ooc seems like it would add the life to server that it needs. Way too tough to start playing again atm with zero way to communicate to anyone or find a zone with people in it around my level. Maybe make a hotspot? Those are always fun as heck. (Even with a very very slight bonus will still be attractive!) Just some way to communicate or find others! (Global occ / LFG / trade channel?) Ignore command there for a reason. =P Come on Amelinda or whoever reads this! Make it happen!~~~~ ***EDIT*** Just saw someone elses thread about being able to use an ooc command only once per minute or so, thats an awesome idea imo ... just sayin. | ||

Regardless, people need to nut up or shut up.
Grown adults crying to mods, admins, and devs about language they are fully capable of ignoring or otherwise dealing with is pathetic. They have better things to worry about. (or so I thought until the recent wave of bellyaching that resulted in suspensions for prominent members of the community for no other reason than ridiculous crybaby bullshit from grown men and women) You are 100% in control of and empowered over what you are exposed to in game. You can both ignore people directly and shut off OOC entirely and your gameplay will neither be hindered nor affected. I regularly see far more offensive shit said in OOC than what I received a suspension for. I used to ignore it until now. I am now screenshotting and reporting everything. It doesn't offend me but, I didn't open that can of worms. | ||
