Default Question about character transfers

Hey,

I just tried to search the forums, but couldnt get an answer. So I am very sorry, if I seem blind or this has been answered too often already.
I was wondering, if it is possible to move characters from one account to another?
When using google search, I found a tread here, but it is from 2009 I guess. There it said to write a petition, which I just did.
Now a very nice player ingame just told me, there is no such thing as character moves on p1999.
Am I living in the past and just made a very stupid petition or is it still possible to get a character moved between two accounts?

Thank you and best regards
Yasi

People have asked, but I've never seen it happen or any acknowledgement by the staff that this is supported.

Put a petition in, give char names, account names, and when you'll be online so a GM can contact you to verify authenticity of the transfer.

I would imagine they could keep a GM busy full-time doing these if they were allowed at this point.

That post is from 2009. Transfers aren't done anymore for any reason at least thats what ive been told. i'm sure many people just abused it at the beginning and it became to much.

I feel that they may have a slight onus to do so, considering that Amelinda was so far behind on IP exemptions for so long that many felt they had no choice except to place characters on existing accounts.

That means... your characters that you relegated to the same accounts, because of the GMs, can never play together.

Am I missing something?

The IP exemption does not prevent you from having more than one account. It prevents you from playing on more than one account from the same IP address.

You could only play one account at a time, but it didn't restrict the number of accounts you could hold. My wife and I had separate accounts and played each of them from the same IP address at separate times before our exemption came through.

So I ask, am I missing something?

Nope not missing anything. Slave just has no idea what he is talking about.
