Default Blank Screen?

I followed all of the installation instructions in the setup guide perfectly but I just get a blank screen when I launch the game. I confirmed in Task Manager that it is indeed not loading anything.

Looking forward to playing a game I loved when I was younger!

Try pressing alt+enter if you at least get the cursor.

Default Same problem as well but no cursor

Hey guys, I'm having difficulty as well in just starting the game. When I start the game from my desktop the screen goes blank/black (as if its stating to load) and then it sends me back to my desktop. The first time I did it I got an hour glass now it wont show anything..

Any suggestions or advice would be GREATLY appreciated! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

This and make sure you are running it as an administrator.

Also make sure you have Directx 9.0c installed - EverQuest requires DX9_30.dll to be installed which isn't included with versions 10 and up.

if all else fails do a fresh install and use the installer in my signature to set it up.

You still have to install the directx 9.0c distributional to get the missing file you need to run EQ.

Please list your OS version...click start > run > 'winver' <enter> if you're not sure.

DX11 in Win7 is backward compatible. I and other run EQ without issue. I do however run the eqgame.exe in compatibility mode for XP SP3, you might try that.

Correct it is backward compatible but dx10 onward doesn't include the dx30.dll file, which is required to run EverQuest Titanium.
