Default My buddy and I are thinking about coming back

He wants to roll a necro.

I'm torn between Mage and shaman. I like the idea of being a shaman can get us spots in groups, but was wondering if since the server is on kunark now will we even find lower level people to group with?

I like the Mage as well because they also complement a necro well and from what I understand we can do dungeons better with my Mage. Also both of us being dark elf and starting in same area is nice

Any suggestions or feed back would be appreciated

There are always waves of people leveling up 1-60. Whether it be someones alt or a new character. You shouldn't need to group much anyways being able to duo with a necro. Either combo would be good. If you want to group I'd roll shaman, if you want to just Duo with your bud go Mage. You could Duo all the way to 60 pretty much with the mage/necro.

My personal experience is that it is relatively easy to find groups at lower levels.

for sure.. higher level seems to have fewer people. Could just be how hard it is to level up hah.

If you go shaman/shadow knight you got good duo grind and good group-ability. If you can convince him to ditch the necrosis for the s.k.

It is relatively easy to get groups going during prime time in just about any leveling area.

Either combo will work VERY well duo. I would actually lean towards shaman/necro being stronger for solo though. You lose DPS and a tough pet by dropping the mage, but with the shaman being able to slow, heal, regen, take some hits, and do some mana-free damage of his own... that's worth more than the mage, I would think.
