models disappear for a few seconds than reappear...

hey just returned back to 1999 after a long (1 year) stint of being away... but now when i play... for instance im sitting in EC tunnel, characters all disappear for like 5 seconds and come back for 5 seconds and it just repeats permanently... any idea what this could be?
