![]() I am curious how fast you can make money soloing per hour, just grinding mobs and selling loot to NPC merchants. What zone, particular mobs/camp, level, and class? I'm level 27 Monk, and so far I haven't found a better place to make cash than hunting guards in HHK. Comes out to about 70pp every hour. Plus it's just convenient as hell to sell/bank right there, especially as a Monk with weight restriction. Was hunting Dark Elf guards in my early 20's. Wanted to know what other awesome places are out there to make some coin now and in my future levels.

![]() there are a buttload of guard spawns in HHK - at higher levels they'll go down much quicker. With over 20-30 spawns at 18 minute/spawns, you're looking at nearly 400pp-500pp/hr.

![]() The average plat/hour rate of the highest level characters is generally accepted to be about 800-1000/hour.

![]() I get offers of 2-3k/hr for PLing quite often. As a 59 druid with a Manastone.
But camping something like Fungi Tunic or Hiero Cloak can, if your dice and the games dice are good, pay off much larger PP/hr rate. As a monk you can likely get into those cash groups (fungi / hiero) or you can PL people. The rate you charge is largely based on your DPS / ability to continue PLing. So a monk with Fungi + good weapons + good haste can charge much more than a monk without. At lower levels, honestly I wouldn't be too highly concerned with money until you get up into your 40s/50s where you can start farming things more reliably. Stuff like... Hooded Black Cloak in Mistmoore goes for a solid 3-4k.

![]() roll a druid or a necro
Seriously, monks are one of the worst classes to play for resource accumulation. You'll make money faster levelling a druid from scratch... once you hit 29 people start paying for ports, once you hit 34 or so you can effectively camp quite a few money-items. Necros are even better item campers, although they get no port revenue and can't travel as quickly. When you hit high levels and monks become highly desired dungeon pullers and general group DPS, you'll get access to items that you can sell for big money, but until then I would count on an eq-life of poverty - as you would expect a for a monk.
