Default Movement registration
Whenever kiting something, you have to stop for 2 seconds to cast a spell. Once you 'stop', your character takes another half step, thus interrupting your spell cast.

You ever tried to run full speed, then stop instantly?

This is classic, there are things you can do about this, figure it out.
