Default Casino

On live after the cheesing they opened a casino to drain plat out of the economy. Shouldn't we do something like that here? Put a couple ton po sticks ans mystwalkers up for grabs and watch the plat disappear. Then maybe I can afford to buy a fungi =D

Obviously its not classic. Its just a clever way to deflate the economy. The server isn't pure classic anyway. Its at the discretion of the devs. I'm just throwing it out there to see what people think about it.

I would like this actually, except not for item rewards but simply gambling for pp.

Much like some players do running their casinos in EC, set the odds in favor of the house as they do. In this case though, it would just slowly take money out of the economy (and not add new items into it, just a pure cash sink).

Of course, this isn't something we would see here, but I would like it personally.

I'm not sure if this is even possible with Everquest or not, but I played another game on a private emu server years ago and they had a Texas Hold 'Em game put in where the dealer(npc) keeps a cut of the winnings. It gave players a chance to gamble against each other, which is more fun than just throwing money at an NPC and it pulled massive amounts of cash out of the game.

I'm not talking about player run casino's. I'm talking about an automatic NPC casino. I guess it would be coded just like any other quest with a variable reward.

It's the closest to pure classic I have found anywhere.
If the deciding reason that would bring in Casinos is: It isn't pure classic anyway,I for one for my .0000001 cents worth am against it as much as it's possible to be against it
Btw a piece of equipment like a wraithbone hammer is a still a pretty major investment for me,so in self interest cheaper things would be good for me.
