Should be just the four INT casting classes: wizard, mage, enchanter, and necro. I am unfamiliar with bards ever being able to research?? Certainly not within the scope of Project 1999.

Only int casters, as far as I can tell.

Hybrid research came way later, out of the timeline of this server.

The question here is if it's worth it to research. I mean, the max level now is 60, and the highest spells you can research are level 49.

Is there anything worth researching that doesn't get obsolete at level 60?

Have a look at the list of spells for different classes and find the research-only spells. You will need to know if the lines get an update or if they're so rare that they're worth researching.

Or, maybe, a veteran can tell you.
