Possible bug with monk epic Brother Balatin DL

Was with an enchanter 10 hrs ago at DL to MQ the chardok metal pipe (enchanter), and my robe and KC metal pipe.(monk)

Killed about 6 placeholders then the epic guy spawned, no one else there.
Enchanter tashes then charms the mob, and hands in chardok pipe, and before I get to do any trade with my pipe and robe, the enchanter receives the robe reward with text from Brother Balatin

So how does this happen on a freshly spawned epic mob?

Shouldn't the epic spawn have a fresh empty inventory apon being spawned?

If someone has stuffed up their hand in at an earlier time the freshly spawned epic mob should have an empty inventory.

That may not be true. Killing mobs does not reset their quest receipt inventory. Perhaps spawning and respawning them doesn't either.

6 ph? So lucky. Been camping him for over 2 hours at this point and haven't seen him. Wiki says he's an "uncommon spawn", should change that to ultra rare.

Definitely doesn't seem like he's spawning often enough.
