Default Noob bugs

Nektulos Noob log has a lack of spawns, no fire beatles, no decaying skellies with random weapons which was always a good source of money for noobs.

The snakes, spiders etc that it does have are few and far between, things also seem to run an an increased rate. Hard to chase down mobs.

I also saw floating piranah in the woods instead of just the river.

Also when you die you respawn across the bridge far from the original spawning place of on the side of the hill between neriak and noob log.

Spiderlings seem to poision you and that wasn't the case in the original.

Cleric spells Holy Armor and Stun are level 5 in this game but in the original they are level 1 for holy armor and level 2 for stun.

Otherwise I love the game I miss the old days, my wife and I are having a blast and we only level 3. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I gotta say, he's right. Noobie log area isn't anything like it used to be. Some big snakes in that area too so even fighting the little moss snakes is very dangerous, because all the snakes aggro like mad. In order to get cloth or rusty weapons you gotta goto FP noobie area, or venture out even further and dodge bears, wolves and even bigger regular skeletons.

Another big reason for having those was the quest handin of beatle eyes to some guy in neriak. Have you exp per 4 you handed in.

No, you did not get spells at level 2. Otherwise everything else you've said is valid.

Yep. Only classes that got spells at level 2 in classic were bards. And those weren't really spells at all.
Priests are 1,5,9,14,19,24,29,34,39,44,49
Casters are 1,4,8,12,16,20,24,29,34,39,44,49
Hybrids are 9,15,22,30,39,49

It must have changed then. On everquest.allakhazam.com it says stun at level 2. So I was going off that.

I can also verify Nektulos forest problem :P I just started there last night and was tring to chase down a spiderling, took quite awhile as he was so fast. Got poisoned and died and had a heck of a time getting back to my body. I eventually found the newb log that use to have all the beetles and stuff and it was pretty much empty save for maybe a snake.

Okay I did some work on this today. The newbie log area was almost devoid of mobs.. added several. After next patch, let me know if it needs more, or something needs changing.

Also, lots of spiders and snakes have had poisons redone. Look for it in the upcoming patch.

Pending update:

-newbie log area of Nektulos redone, you will see many more mobs.
-spiderlings will no longer poison
