The server guides are abusive.
We were given an ip exemption for me and my 6 year old son to play together. Guide darver showed up and said I was boxing. This is not true! Darver ported us to unrest and gave us a test to run around the fountains in figure 8s in opposite directions. we did this to the best of our ability. my son is not good at steering and I have to help him when we play, but I did NOT for the test. Consequently he stuttered a lot and fell in the fountains. This whole thing was very upsetting to him, he started shaking and crying. SHAME on DARVER. I offered to get in a voice discord, no comment or any other offer from Darver to help us show we are playing together. Darver would not believe me and banned both accounts... why??? I am an honest person playing with my son. sorry if me reaching over to help him is considered boxing. I am just trying to enjoy some time together with him. So I ask again please reinstate both accounts. And while you consider offering us other ways for me to prove I am not boxing. Anything other than what some guide could see in-game, immediately reactivate commandojonesy so I can play alone Greetings, I will flag this for a senior guide to investigate. For GM use: https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=444764 Hello there, watched the boxing video Darver posted and there is no doubt in my mind that you were boxing. These accounts will remain banned. You may continue playing but must do so on new accounts. No presumption of innocence. Yes, I admit I help my son a lot because he can't control a character by himself other than very basic movements and pressing attack etc, but he is still there at the computer, I am NOT playing alone like you assumed. The test wasn't passable by a six-year-old child!! or someone that is disabled! You guys are excluding people that want to play because they can't meet able bodied persons standards, very uncool and in some place's criminal. You don't even bother to listen to someone pleading their case you watch one video that you already assume is breaking the rule you've already made up your mind without any other evidence looked at. Why even offer ip exemptions if you're just going to ban someone that is being honest and not violating it. Just don't even offer them, ofcourse VPN people will still do it and are. My son was playing with me you can think what you wanna think, but don't accuse me of boxing when I absolutely wasn't. Sorry you couldn't see that from ONE video you watched...you didn't even listen to anything I had to say. Anyway thanks for taking away something that I enjoyed, and was sharing with my son. Here is the only rule I could find, please if there is something more than this post it, but I did NOT violate this rule! "6. You may not have more than one client running per real life person playing on Project 1999 (Boxing). There is no 'boxing' on Project 1999 servers. Boxing is defined as having more than one client running from a single computer, or having more than one client running per person in the same household on different computers. Project 1999 has an IP block on its servers to prevent players from boxing. You may apply for an IP exemption if you have more than one person in your household wanting to play by following the instructions on this forum" My son was at his laptop playing the game, I was at my desktop playing the game. Rule not broken. I was not operating his client, I would reach over and point to or tell him what to do. He is 6 and cant do most things without me helping. Maybe this probably looks like I am operating both clients. I assure you I am not. Frankly I don't care to play this game anymore (raiding scene is completely toxic) I was continuing to do so because he liked it, we were having fun together. Now its pretty easy for me to disconnect. The next day or two when he starts asking me to "play our everquest guys" as he says it and I have to tell him they don't exist anymore...he is going to lose it. I doubt you understand the emotional turmoil you have caused in our home...what if I came to your house and took away something your kid loved? You would be furious with me, and probably call the police. You've done this to us!! I cant call the police, I have no option but to post here and hope you to make it right. So please Don't fucking do this! At the very least, remove the ip exemption reactivate the accounts (he has characters on both) so I can show him his characters still exist. And if he really wants I can have him log on one account at a time. And dont tell me to just make a new account. He flipped when I deleted his level 2 gnome mage a while back. No idea what he will do when all the characters that he has worked on are gone... Sorry but your requests are denied. If and when you decide to be honest with us we can work from there. What is your definition of be honest mean? Darver kept saying that too...just be honest... you want me to say "yeah I was boxing, sorry" and then you say we can work from there? What do you mean work from there? Like there is a way to get the accounts un-banned? But it's clear there is a zero-tolerance policy for boxing, so are you lying to get me to falsely admit I was boxing? If you tell me that will get the accounts unbanned then I will happily say I was boxing. But I don't think that is the case. And to what end? So you can feel better about the punishment that was doled out? Because you probably know I have been honest. This is now the 3rd times now (once in game with Darver, once earlier in this post, and now again) I've said - I was playing with my son, he is 6. I have to 'drive' both clients because he is physically not able to, but he is at the computer. I also asked if that was boxing, with no answer. Simply answer that question if yes that is boxing then yes simply I was boxing, if no (as I believe) then no I was not boxing. What part of this was confusing when you got your IP exemption? You are being completely deceitful and I'm not going to have it. You know what you did and you know that you were boxing. Your accounts will remain banned. Usually we work with people who are honest with us and give them a second chance. However, since you decided to continually lie to me and Darver your accounts will remain banned. I just want to be sure we're clear on the rules. On P99, we consider it 2 boxing if 1 person is controlling more than 1 character for ANY amount of time for ANY reason. This means no boxing to transfer items "for just a sec", moving characters, EC muling, etc. If we catch you doing these things the accounts will be subject to a permanent ban. We are very strict with our 2 boxing rules. What the hell?!? IS this how you respond to someone asking? I asked several questions; you refuse to answer. Do you even read my posts?? Going back and reading the ip exemption I do understand that I was boxing, but it was to help my son. I know there are other people that are allowed to help their family play. The guy that his teenage son that has seriously injured hands and can only use 1 finger, they play but that is also boxing according to the limited info you are giving me. Why is that allowed? So even if both accounts are re-instated, I won't be able to play with my son because he can't play without my help because that is boxing. It's too bad you couldn't just be kind and answer my questions. And telling someone to be honest over and over when they already are is called gaslighting, it leads people to question their own sanity. And that is straight up abuse. Gaslighting is abusive. Then you told me I am being deceitful and I continually lied...seriously!!! Are you watching in my house for the last year??? You would have seen EXACTLY what I said was happening, my son plays with me, he is very young, I understand that is boxing now, but there is no other way for us to play together. We gained no advantage, harmed no one else by playing together. I made sure to help every other player that I came across; I frequently played alone and grouped with others.

Live server, pay for two accounts. Problem solved.
Live or WoW would be much easier for a young child, and he wouldn't have to use one of his socks.

My guy - your post is not unique. There have been so many people claiming their: -Autistic sibling/cousin/parent -Young children -Tech unsavvy spouse -Disabled relative -etc. have been flagged for boxing because of their "limitations. " On the other hand, there have been legitimate IP exemptions that DID engage in the "innocent" boxing like transferring an item - and they have long track records of being 2 independent people and usually have their ban turned into a suspension. Either way - nobody believes your story, and even if they did - You'll get no sympathy here.

My younger brother was in a surfing accident several years ago when he wiped out really bad, and was under water for nearly 10 minutes and repeatedly stung by jellyfish.
Since then, I've tried to live up to the motto from the greatest film of all time, New Jack City: I AM my brother's keeper. He is still paralyzed from all the many jellyfish stings he suffered that day, but I take care of him, and I play his favorite game with him, Everquest. Due to his paralysis, and the fact his hands are still swollen 10x normal size because of the sheer number of jellyfish stings he had suffered (this was a few years ago), he cannot control his character, but he communicates to me by winking the one eye that is not paralyzed -- "C-O-M-P-L-E-T-E _ H-E-A-L _ I-N-C" he'll blink at me in Morse code, and that is how I know I am supposed to have his char cast complete heal on me so I don't die. After we kill a mob, he blinks Y-A-A-A-A-A-S-S-S at me, and let me tell you, I wouldn't trade that feeling for a million dollars. So, GM's, this is what you have ruined. My brother woke up and winked at me this morning, "M-A-Y-B-E _ T-H-E-R-E _ I-S _ N-O _ G-O-D." So, thanks gm's. Thanks.
