Default Is P99 still using the post-velious AC revamp?

Everyone always talks about shields raising your AC softcap, and a dev even said that it's a thing on P99 back in 2014, yet shield AC was added some time in PoP. Was this ever changed? I can't find anything saying that it was ever removed from P99.

How AC works on here is pretty custom. IIRC mob AC had to be guessed in velious and they tailored AC formulas to fit and also to fine tune other stuff like the damage you take naked.

Last I checked shield AC did raise soft cap but the cap is already like 400+ worn for a level 60 player. Small sample testing seemed to show there's also a mob level cap where past a certain worn AC for a given mob level you get no returns. So if you go from 400 to 460 on a krup knight you'll most likely get no return. Probably only useful for the level 65, if not 70 mobs and some exceptions?

I mean, if you have low AC and you want the shield AC to bump it it still works but for actually raising the worn AC cap, you won't find many situations where you'd benefit.

Soft-cap (raw ac/worn ac): Level * 6 + 25 This only applies to characters level 50 or below.
325 @lvl50. 385 @60 with the same formula but I think it is fair to assume it is higher.

I don't think there's anything more recent than that 2014 thread but maybe I'm blanking out.
