Emerald Jungle mob that shouldn't exist?

Got attacked and almost killed by this mob:

in the Emerald Jungle. Based on the ZAM comments, this mob should definitely not exist in Classic

I didn't think to get a /loc (I ran into it not far West/Southwest of CoM), but I did take a screenshot with its name and such in my text windows
