Default Cannot connect to Green Server

Been playing p99 for a few years with no issues. today i went to log in and after clicking connect to green server, it freezes for 30 seconds then returns me to the main menu.

i tried connecting to Blue and red. both with success. tried green again. same thing.

reset my modem, no fix
reinstalled EQ Titanium with p99 files V57

same issues. can connect to red and blue, but not green.

any one have any input on my situation ?

login server is down this morning. Your issue is going to be unrelated to this post.

Can't connect to any server. "An unknown error occurred when trying to join the server". Using WinEQ2

I have been strugelig with random unable to connect to Gameserver since the latest client uppdate. It is if a port is blocked but I can not find any blockage of any ports.
As I read that the gameservers uses random ports and this problem is not allways but can occur any time a zone is loading. ( after char select ) the *.exe file uses a gig of ram and I never get a reply from server and if I wait long enough I get a you have been disconnected message. USB tether or hotspot will as far as I can see remove the issue ( I have yet to experience the problem ) I Contact my ISP about it and I was told absalutley nothign is blocked at their end. I have now 3 instalations of EQ, I try with WinEQ, and middlemand and anything I can find tbh. But the issue feels all random. In no config I have tried I have not had the same issue atleast once.

And this is totealy destroying the experience, as a char swap may mean 30 logginatempts..

Sometimes its nothing to do with your end or your ISP. If theres a problem at one of the hubs traffic is going through then you'll see these kinds of problems. Since the EQ client is UDP, it does not handle pocket loss very well (doesnt verify packets are received or resend). This causes blank server lists and crashing when loading/zoning

Heres a Tracert example of a problem like this. Lots of packet issues here. This is where you'll see a Hotspot or a VPN "fix" the issue when it can re-route traffic and bypass the problem area. This is usually only temporary until that location resolves their problems

Ah thanx yea I have heard of this but I have had this issue since The Latest Patch V60 since desember 24. And I dont know what to trace to check the EQ (world) servers, the loggin works just fine.

And yea this is looking like the only logical explanation.
As I have tried evrything I can think of. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
