Default Bind

Would it be possible to toggle on/off bind on a character? I have a character that is bound to the firepots, and would like to keep that bind point. As we all know, if we are in a group and somebody casts bind, it changes your bind point to that location. The way that it is now, someone else is in control of my bind point. I believe that this can help with promoting group activities in this instance.

Sadly not. The game only stores your current bind point. Once it changes, you can't get your previous bind point back. You also cannot lock your current bind point.

Other players casting bind on you can not bind you anywhere, only in cities. This reduces the risk somewhat, but some zones people fight in are considered cities, like Kael. People don't usually randomly cast bind on others, so this shouldn't be an issue anyway.

Unfortunately, they cannot reset your bind to its original location. If you need to be bound somewhere safer due to hostile NPCs (and a player cannot assist you), please petition in game and they will assist you.

... of course, there is never really a situation where a player cannot help you, so good luck.

Some one did this to me on Jimjam at Dain hole and I lost my precious misty thicket bind. I never recovered.

The staff aren't able to set a character's bind point if someone maliciously binds them? Seems odd

It would be very nice if bind gave a confirmation box. IIRC we had a ranger get apparently accidentally rebound (from tov bind) by a wizard he asked for a tl in gfay. And that "only" cost 10-20k and some hassle; it's a much bigger issue for an irreplaceable pots bind.

They are able to but they don't do this as a rule, specifically the pots bind. It happened on green a bit ago, some insane guy griefed by deathlooping and rebinding a pots bound cleric bot, the GMs said no to restoring the bind but did restore the xp
