I get this message intermittantly no matter which computer I play on (I have a laptop I use at work also). What does it mean, and how can I make it go away?

In for the Montgomery Scott reference.

Are you using satellite internet? They tend to be pretty unreliable for online gaming, they're not very stable and can cause messages like "Large Warp Detected" I believe it means something along the lines of : Your client last told the server you were at one spot on the zone you're in, but the next update from your client was much further away than normal for a moving character dependant on buffs

Means your connection sucks or you have stuff interfering with it (firewalls, whatever). I'm not tech savvy enough to be able to explain it better than that, I just have seen it happen when i've had junk interfering with my connection or had to run eq through a proxy (Darn university wireless network blocking me).

Actually I'm on a Cable connection. Maybe Norton is messing stuff up? I'll have to test with it disabled or something.

With Norton disabled, I still receive this message when playing. It's quite annoying. Frequently I'll get a delay on spellcasting as well, which will be a buzzkill as I level up and rely on timing more when kiting.
Any ideas? | ||
