![]() I have a level 5 Monk whos skill is listed in red as being 30 yet when he gets a skill level ups in blue they list higher than 30 ide say my skill should be at least 35. Is this a bug or does it not reflect the true skill level?

![]() The red number is the cap for that level. For example my monk has a 2hb skill of 92 and my cap at level now is 80. So on skill list it shows 80 in red. The minute I ding the next level it will show 85 in red.

![]() I think they raised the weapon skill caps for monks, rogues and maybe warriors in some later expansion. It's still stuck in the client, but you don't get anything out of excess skills except it'll fill out immediately when you level up.

![]() That's correct. For some of the skills you are getting skill up messages and apparently "real" points. However the extra points don't seem to be counted until the approve
Irate level is reached. This is a weird thing though. The above is happening with my weapon skills, while dual weild just keeps on climbing with no cap and no red numbers. Meanwhile sneak, bind wound, safe fall are capping appropriately. So in my mind the only one that may be off AND affecting us is dual wield. | ||

![]() I'm guessing this is a client-side thing. There does appear to be some server-side oddness for monk-skills, though. The skill caps appear to be higher than 5 + Level*5. Dual Wield actually works normally; it has a 5 + Level*7 cap, as expected. Weapon skills (1HB, in particular), seem to have a skill cap higher than 5 + Level*5. This number turns red on the client. It may well be that the server treats the skill normally.
