Mage Pet Research Spells (Need 2 Copies)?

Am I right.

You use one set to scribe and actually use the pets. Then the other set to use in the research for the next level pets?

So essentially, we need to gather enough components to research 2 sets of pet spells in order to keep the research pet going to the next level, then the next, etc...

It's late so I hope that makes sense...
