In particular with video evidence. Providing a play by play is such powerful framing because ain’t nobody got time for watching that shiz.


However, maybe there’s enough contrast in the two following narratives to pique your curiosity:


Opinion 1 (24 seconds):

0:34 Lord Yelinak engages Detoxx (V)

0:41 Detoxx (V) is out of range of Yelinak

0:57 Nexii (R) targets Detoxx (V) who is at 100% health

0:58 Detoxx’s (V) health drops to 90% when he is hit by Yelinak.



Opinion 2 (30 seconds):

0:34 - Lord Yelinak engages Detoxx! <Vanquish>

0:41 - Detoxx <Vanquish> seen standing in the middle of the room out of range

0:50 - Detoxx <Vanquish> moves up slightly but still out of range

0:53 - Vanquish Clerics position in room and start casting (Aegoboy)

0:54 - Detoxx <Vanquish> moves up slightly but still out of range

1:01 - Detoxx <Vanquish> assumes a defensive fighting style

1:04 - Detoxx <Vanquish> moves up, Detoxx & Lord Yelinak begin melee-attacking


But rest assured travelers, this discussion is about deep and meaningful character issues:

You see we’re discussing spiritual issues. Not just a 6 second difference. And assuredly not a manipulative attempt to guilt trip for free mobs.

And the spirit is that you shouldn’t waste others time with weak attempts - but it’s not up for discussion what a legit attempt is because we can’t exclude another competing guilds no matter how small and weak they may be.

Logic! Spiritual Logic!

The most important thing here is the statement about the spirit of this rule stated above.

The problem with your "Opinion 1" is that at 0:58 detoxx isn't hit by yeli, he simply takes yeli ae damage, he still isn't tanking hits from the dragon.

Without that extra time Detoxx provides the clerics to get where they need to be he likely dies to yeli. The time being wasted here is the GM's by vanquish as Detoxx knows he stalled yeli and all he would've had to do in the UN defense is post his own fraps which we all know he has running all the time and this all goes away. But he didn't provide fraps. Hmm, that's weird, wonder why?
