Default Hi everyone, a couple of questions...

Hi everyone, new player here. A friend and I started playing a few days ago and we decided to hang around for awhile, it's a really good server and we're looking forward to grouping with you all in the future. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I have a couple of questions if you don't mind. I've been searching and searching and I still can't find what I'm looking for so please forgive me if it's been covered. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

First, I remember someone telling me years and years ago that when you twinked your character from the beginning you would have a big advantage at higher levels verses a non-twinked character. What he said was, all the extra stats from lower levels would accumulate over the levels and so a twinked character would have lets say, much more mana than someone who didn't twink (with same gear at max level). Does that make sense?

I guess what I'm asking is, if you do NOT twink, will your character be permanently gimped in the long run? Or, does the game measure your stat boost for each level on the BASE stats and not from the extra gear stats?

Secondly, I'm going to start out with a Druid and I'm wondering if it really matters in the end what race I start out with (race benefits have always bugged me heh). Now, I realize that Wood Elves have some of the best starting stats but is there any reason why I shouldn't roll a Half Elf or Human Druid? In the end I'm sure the stats will be close but I thought I read something about how Wood Elves have an advantage in crafting? I just want to make sure I don't regret my choice in the end.

Thanks all, I appreciate any input you guys can give. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
