![]() I suppose this may be game mechanics?
I'm currently a level 2 NE necro attempting to level in WFP. I cast cavorting bones and up pops my pet. We kill a few mobs and everything is dandy. I kill a decaying skeleton and all of a sudden my pet is gone. I am at full health. My pet was at full health. A message pops up that says "kabobtik tries to hit himself. I'm sorry I failed you master". Does anyone know what this is? I didn't have my pet targeted and even if I had, I certainly didn't tell him to attack anything. I was just looting a corpse. This has happened about 10 times. Is this normal? I was under the impression that the only thing (aside from dying to a mob) that could kill a pet was zoning or clicking the pet go away button. Any help would be appreciated (my pets are poofing faster then I can get bone chips)

![]() That message from your pet, indicates it died from something. Usually a mob or a dot will do that. Just because you sent your pet after only one mob, doesn't mean another mob didn't aggro while he was engaged. So keep an eye on little Goner, he likes to get into trouble and get both him and you killed.
I cannot currently find any issues with low level pets at this time. Haynar

![]() It was WFP though. There were no other mobs around (aside from bats) and my pet was at full health.
plus this has happened 10 or so times. I admit I'm new to the necro class, but I'm not new to how pets in EQ work. I'll see if I can recreate it (shouldn't be too hard hehe) just to be 100% sure.

![]() man, I'll be darned if I can replicate this. Which is weird since it happened so many times in a row. Guess it must have been something I was doing.
Sorry for the false report, but glad it's working =)
