Game Mechanics: mob coin /weapon /etc all out of whack

First of I understand that devs cant get everything right and is a process.

Been playing on p1999 for a while just wondering why the mobs upto and past 40 have such poor coin and loot drops ?


take Kunark for example. When kunark was released their was much complaining about the fact that mobs in general carried so little coin and ohter items to sell to merchants. I remember a patch anouncing that the kunark zone would be revaluated for coin /gems /vendor fodder loot.

Some data Warsilk wooods EQ MAC:

killed roughly 50 oeach an iksar manslayer, Iksar Pariah, an exile. on EQ MAC

iksar manslayers from 5cp to 1pp in coin, upto topaz gems, and mithirl earings rarly. appropiat level spell reseach items ** balanced / finely crafter shanktok, khuri sheer blades and iskar targ shield /finely craftd targ shield ***.


Iksar Pariah from 5sp to 1.5 pp in coin, upto topaz gems, and mithril early rarly, appropiat level research items ** balanced / finely crafter shanktok, khuri sheer blades and iskar targ shield /finely craftd targ shield ***.


Iksar Exil 5gp to 2pp in coin, utpo topaz gems , assorted mino jewelry item pearle necklac, mithri learing etc. appropiat spell research fot these mobs levels. ** balanced / finely crafter shanktok, khuri sheer blades and iskar targ shield /finely craftd targ shield ***.



Tested same mobs in WArsilk woods P1999.

kill total 50 to 60 of iksar manslayers , iksar pariah, iksar exil .

Results all three of these mob type have same loot table as iksar manslayers.

iksar manslayers from 5cp to 1pp in coin, upto topaz in gems random jewrly item bloodstone ring to mithril earins these jewerly ranges from a few godl to 4pp sold to merchants. appropiat level spell reseach items levels 15 to 20 ( i believe that is level rang of iksar manslayers ) ** balanced / finely crafter shanktok, khuri sheer blades**.

seems perty strange that a up to level 26 mob would have same loot as 17 level mob.
