Game Not Loading

Hello everyone, I recently heard about this project and decided to give it a try.

I followed both the instructions on the eqemu site and the set up found on this site.After completing all that I loaded the game as described in the set up, log in, select the project 1999 server and click play which is where my problem starts. The game stops there. It doesn't load, doesn't freeze or do anything at all. I can move the mouse around or alt tab and use programs like normal. I let it sit for several minute to see if it was just being slow but no luck.

If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
