Default batphone: the birth of poopsocking

Really when it comes down to it all the problems of raiding on p99 are due to new technologies that allow people to tell the entire guild its time to log in.

On live in classic you just had to wait to have enough people online so it wasn't always attack the spawn as soon as it spawns.

People always equate the raiding and whatnot to "everyone knows the content" that isn't it at all, everything that makes high end the way it is here is due to the batphone. But there is no way to stop it now, its too bad.

So whenever your annoyed at raids, remember, its all the batphones fault.

f u batman!

uhh.. poopsocking is sitting on a spawn until it spawns.

batphone is texting everyone after a pop and mobilzing to kill that mob..

two very different things really.. i would think you would know that brew.

Even if you're sitting on the spawn, people go afk etc. A mass text just gets them back to the keyboard quick so that you still don't have to sit there watching. meh cellphones!

On the flipside, it means that you can now camp out your main, and go do things that aren't sitting logged in at your computer waiting for named to pop.

technically, even 10 years ago, hardcore guilds, had most everyone phone number to call in people when needed - cel phones were all ready around full swing

It wasn't much of an issue on live because people knew when things would spawn. With the variable spawn times here (too keep things interesting/competitive) it's necessary. It would be the same thing as if they just went through a call list (as has happened on live), it's just faster.
