![]() Games these days use micro-transactions, loot boxes, pay walls, and engage in all sorts of predatory practices to exploit their player bases. Unfortunately, that's becoming the norm in games these days and players don't get exposed very often to games without those things. You don't have to worry about those playing this.

---------- Games such as Meridian 59, EverQuest, Ultima Online and Dark Age of Camelot were routinely called graphical MUDs in their earlier years.RuneScape was actually originally intended to be a text-based MUD, but graphics were added very early in development. However, with the increase in computing power and Internet connectivity during the late nineties, and the shift of online gaming to the mass market, the term "graphical MUD" fell out of favor, being replaced by MMORPG, Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, a term coined by Richard Garriott in 1997. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MUD ---------- | |||

![]() I mean... yeah... except you had to buy expansions every 8~ months and pay 15$ per month for a sub.
Complimenting an emu server which by law needs to be unmonetized for this doesn't mean anything. Instead give thanks to the staff, the donors and Daybreak for allowing it to exist unmolested. | ||
