Game Mechanics: Dead and no lost exp.

I just died at lvl 21 and didnt lose any exp. I am sure of this because i was so close to leveling that i would have dinged if i downed that mob.
What happened: Got a necro dot and had to zone. When entering new zone the dot had 2 or 3 ticks left, the last left me at around 7%hp. I then get the message my blood cools.

Then after about 15sec i got the same dot recasted on me and it killed me, but did not take any exp?

I may be a complete noob for not understanding this, but i dont believe there are any necro mobs in south karana, and i certainly didnt see anyone.

If u zone out with a dot and it kills u, u take no experience loss

I understand dying from dots when zoning out causes no exp loss, but the dot finished its last tick and then suddenly reappeared after about 10-15 seconds. Couldnt see any mobs and couldnt target any mobs. No idea what caused this, but im pretty sure there was no necro / sk npc's that could have done it.

Haynar had been talking about adding code to force xp loss from dots after zoning. Perhaps this odd behavior is a side effect of that code?
