Default With Chardok AE gone, what powerleveling alternatives are there?

I'm looking to get to around 44 from 26.

I'm perfectly fine leveling myself if that's the only option, but my goal is to get this druid up to 44 for all the ports rather than use it as a played class, therefore it's in my best interests to find the fastest way.

Are there any Powerleveling alternatives to Chardok AE on P99?

Bards - 25 targets at once is still alot (for classes with AE dmg)

Druids - thorns / heals babysitting outside of group

Monk / Necro - they dps mobs down to like 1 to 3% life then feign death and the person being power leveled kill the target

Shaman - slow and aggro tank out of group while person being powered kills the target

Enchanter - can kill mobs and blur them at super low health for the person being power level to kill

Out of these options Bard and druid are the most common. Druid is great for the really early levels and Bard well.... Bard power leveling even with the AE nerds is still the best method

Druids provide PL'ing services I believe. I leveled mine the classic way.

If you're a 26 druid then just get to 29ish, find an enchanter and head out to FV cliffs.
Amazing exp up to 41ish and is faster than all the other PLing methods (maybe not bard) you can then head over to aviaks in TD and do the same thing and quickly get to 50

Here's a guide I wrote for DaP a while back in case you are not familiar.

Hey guys! I see a bunch of people who joined up around level 30 asking where to go to level. In my opinion this is the best spot to get exp outside of a Bard PL is Duoing with an Enchanter in Firiona Vie. I have done this spot from 30/34-40 on both my Druid and Enchanter. The strategy is simple and both classes compliment each other really well with SoW and Clarity.

First things first you will want to find an Enchanter. I really recomend that the enchanter is atleast 34+ for charm to hold for a decent duration. I came here even at level 33 with around 200CHA on my enchanter and my charm kept dropping early. So with that just do a /who all 34-40 enchanter and start sending out tells to people. You will likely be met with people not wanting to give it a try but keep trying and you will eventually find someone.

Getting there is simple, just get a Dreadlands port (or port yourselves there if you are 34+) then run across Dreadlands to Firiona Vie. You will then want to go to this area circled on the map. Make sure you are both are close to the cliff than the wondering mobs to avoid any extra adds.

Step 1) Charming and Pirates.

The Strategy here is very simple and that goes double for the Druid. In this zone there are pirates that backstab. You will want to find a pirate for the enchanter to charm and also make sure that it can backstab (It is rare but there is some pirates out there that will not backstab). Usually what I did was go out and pull the pirate to the enchanter and let it attempt to backstab me once just to see if it could (You can also check to see if they can backstab by just having them attack other mobs you sissy). There are three types of pirates out there.

A Pirate (these are the lowest level pirates)
A Pirate Cartographer (these are mid level range pirates and what are often used)
Pirate Destroyer (These are really rare but hit hard, they are the highest level pirates and might be hard to hold charm on)

As I said the pirate cartographer is what I used to charm the most. If you're Enchanter is finding charm dropping too soon you might want to seek out a pirate and go from there.

Step 2) Buffing

Now that you've found your pirate you will want the Enchanter to buff the pirate with haste. You can also throw a skin and strength buff on the pirate as well as a regen. Do not SoW the pirate unless you want your Enchanter dead. Also throw a Skin/SoW on the Enchanter too and he/she should give you Clarity. I never buffed myself playing as a Druid because I hardly ever got hit. I would not suggest using wolf form here because it makes you KoS to the town here as well as the Pilgrams and Drixies.

Step 3) Pulling and Killing

You will want to use a low level nuke to pull the mobs to the Enchanter. Do not snare them to pull them because this will lead to more adds, plus it will take a while for the mob to come in. I would only suggest to pull with snare if the mob you are pulling is close to your camp/enchanter. Once the mob comes in, snare it. From here the Enchanter will Fear the mob and send the pet in to attack. The mob will drop in about 20-30seconds depending on the mobs level. Once you get comfortable with this area you'll be able to chain pull nonstop and as I said, it's easily 1% a kill, and level 35 goes by fairly smoothly. You will also want to keep your eye on the charmed pirates health and make sure it does not die. Sometimes the enchanters fear will drop early and the mob will womp on the pirate a bit. That damage adds up over time and it will die if not healed. However if you have an Enchanter that is on the ball it will quickly re-Fear so not much damage is taken.

Step 4) Spell Bars

Bare with me, I am going off my bad memory but as far as spell bars went for both classes it was something like this.

For Druid:
1 - Low level nuke for pulling
2 - Anything can go here/kinda forgot what I had here
3 - Snare
4 - Short duration Root (would use this to help Enchanter recharm if needed)
5 - SoW (always have it on my bars)
6 - Heal
7 - Regen
8 - Gate (Would bind at FV town and gate there if things got harry or needed to sell/bank, do not gate with wolf form)

For Enchanter
1 - Tashani
2 - Charm
3 - Root (just incase, hardly ever used it)
4 - Fear
5 - Stun (With a clicky to get around the spell global cool down you can stun and recharm without getting hit).
6 - Anything can go here/kinda forgot what I had here
7 - Haste
8 - Gate

Step 5) Other hot tips

- When finding a pirate for your enchanter, pull it with your low level nuke and once it gets to your enchanter root it so the enchanter can charm it (this is also where you can check to see if it backstabs). You will need to buff anyway so root should wear off by then.

- It is rare but there is a chance a caster froglock will wander over by you guys. If that happens do not panic and handle it like anything else. I would suggest snaring and fearing it asap, doesn't matter if pet is on it or not, so long as it isn't casting on you guys, however dispatch it as quickly as you can.

- Careful not to mix up pirates with pilgrams. When you get into the chain pulling mode you might pull one by mistake. if you don't want to take the faction hit just have your Enchanter mez and mem blur.

- Make sure your pirate is dual wielding. There are some nodrop fine steel weapons that drop off the mobs there and if I am remembering correctly these can't be given to your pet (well they can be given to the pet but the pet wont equip it). There are plenty of other mobs out there with weapons however, pull those first to get the pirate dual wielding asap.

- I can't stress how useful it is for the Enchanter to be ontop of fears. If they have one job to look out after it is to make sure the mob is feared 24/7. Any unnecessary damage on the pirate pet will lead to med breaks faster because your mana will be drain by healing the pet.

- Do not panic if you pull more mobs than you can handle or get too many adds. This can happen when you're starting out but keep this in mind. If you have no casters on agro there is no way for any of you to die. Both of you will have SoW and you can easily outrun any mob. Ontop of that all you have to do is snare all the mobs and run them in a circle. Then have the Enchanter slowly fear off you and deal with the mobs one by one until everything is dead. (No mez is needed here)

- Druids can start here at a lower level (I would even dare say they could do this at 29) because all they need to really do is snare the mobs. There are some mobs that will resists a bunch but you will eventually find out which are the higher level mobs and start avoiding these until you are a higher level.

I feel like I am missing a few things and I will add them to the guide as I remember them, it has been a while since I have been at this camp. If you guys have any questions feel free to ask here or contact me in game on Treeitek.

I'm surprised after all this time people still don't realize that Mages are some of the best powerlevelers. Unlike other classes, magicians can PL any class (ESPECIALLY melee!), any level and very safely too.

Mage is not grouped with leveler, they cast a fire pet, get mob to when it flees, the mage reclaims energy (with spell or clicky) and the leveler finishes off the mob and gets 100% exp.

I have leveled several people in dreadlands outside Karnors on the wall and they've all been astounded by how fast it was. My 57 mage is full mana the entire time.

No pots needed, you don't need to be an AOE class, you don't need great gear, you don't even need to be hit, you usually don't have to worry about trains or ugly CRs, camps being occupied, etc.

I just came back after a year or two away and decided to PL a guildy's 40 rogue. In 2 hours, we went from 1 yellow left of 40 to 1 yellow into 42. This was casual pulling also.
Level 40 (hell level) 2 yellow hour, level 41-2 4 yellow hour. Faster for lower.

Different classes/levels have different sweet spots for leveling combinations. For classes with AOE, Bard is going to be fastest of course. For 50s+ melee, a shaman works really great. For lowbies, druids are great. From 20s-early 50s, mages really shine though.

You're gonna itch for level 57's Succor after you port people to CS the second time and can't get them through SG.
