Default How do I find a jewl crafter?

Hello friends.

Making a slight return after not playing for years.

Banks full of junk and I am trying to make room.

One thing my old guild and the guilds I was just looking at do is badger you to get resist gear.

I have a diamond and a blue diamond in my bank.

I was hoping to get this made to free up space as I could throw out two shitty items.
https://wiki.project1999.com/Velium_...amond_Bracelet

What's the procedure, if I have the bar and the gem how much do I pay the JC'er?
Can they fail the combine? Do I pay if they fail? I tried asking every 60 enchanter I could find online if they were a jewlcrafter and none were...

Whats the procedure for this?

Contact Arleigh / stockmarket

Put allotted amount of plat in her trade window

/Done

Can try to use your own mats but really her prices and reliability for supplying jewelry is the best. Maybe she/he will discount a little for providing mats

Mats meaning materials?

I've added both those names to a hotbutton to keep an eye out, dont think either are online rn.

Thanks for the reply.

Arleigh is Stockmarket, it's only one person [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
Current name is Arleigh, always at T1 like 10 hours a day, you shouldn't have to wait too long. She also has a cartel of helpers, but whatever speak to her directly.
Jewelcrafting on this server is just very very pointless now 9 years in o_o
Mats = Materials yes.

Nah just a bit of a plat investment most ENC don't want to do to skill up the trade skill, when others already tunnel quest jewel craft way harder than they have any desire to do

Same sorta goes for shaman alchemy

Sorry for the sidetrack, but what tradeskill is worth the effort long term here? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

From what you said JC seems to be not worth it, wondering what others are not worth it either [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

This depends on your level of play.

Are you going to end-game content? Raids and such? Race to 60 ASAP? There is zero point to ANY of the tradeskills for you.

Are you a lone wolf who wants to survive on your own merits? Still only moderately useful as cheap gear is available in EC. If you have cultural armor and wanna make that, that can be really good for some equipment slots, but its REALLY time consuming to make.

I'm a lone wolfer, I made my shaman a full set of cultural armor, best armor I have easy access too no question, as I don't have time to farm enough plat to spend 10k per slot to gear up, lol.

yeah bit of a steppenwolf here too so was wondering on the viability of these tradeskills.

I usually love to raise brewing and baking for rp reasons and because I really enjoy baking in this game haha, but yeah, aiming for cultural could be good despite how cumbersome and lengthy the process will be, and not really interested into raiding much, I left that scene back a long time ago with mandatory batphoning, dkp, insults and peak efficiency dps and CH rotations monitored by logs and all of that nonsense, which I hardly miss.

Though I still remember fondly my first KT kill, AOW kill and planar forays ... the only fond memory I have is getting Greenmist on my Iksar SK and using it to harm Ssra haha, just out of geeky RP reasons so no, Im here for the journey [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Guess I will have to invest into smithing or tailoring then besides brewing/baking .

You can mage Sagacious or Antonican armor here? hmm I remember there were a lot of awesome cultural recipes back in the day, before everything was replaced by planar gear.

You missed a play style - Obsessive/Compulsive Completionist. Some people just like to pour a lot of plat and time into something more or less just to do it - having done 'all the things' is a reward unto itself for these people. They do things like lots of tradeskilling for what is ultimately a net loss of platinum, doing EVERY quest in a particular subject, getting ALL factions up, etc. I am not one of these people, but I assure you - THEY ARE OUT THERE.
