Default Plane of Mischief quests - explain like I'm 5

I've never understood how the PoM quests work. Particularly for the enchanter robe.

Can anyone walk through what I would need to do to complete that quest, like I'm a 5 year old?

Also, I see the dolls for sale etc. How does that work?

OK TLDR version, you will need to get a Deck of Spontaneous Generation (container) to make the base Robe of Distraction. You will need a Red Throne, Black Throne, Red Crown, Black Crown.

Deck of Spontaneous Generation Quest

You combine the Robe in An Empty Pot of Gold (container) with your Doll to make the Mischievous Dazzler Robe.

To get the Empty Pot buy a Words of Wealth from someone, but I can just give you one if need be.

You will be bypassing most of The Gift Box quest since you will be buying your Doll. Just hand in the WoW to Bob the Painter.

Did you read the Wiki on PoM, its -mostly- correct.

There haven't been any enchanter dolls for sale that I've seen for a while. But yeah, what Phee said is correct.

The gift box quest is the worst part, since it's random what doll you get back in return. So, if you do find an enchanter doll, definitely buy it since it's not cheap or time efficient to do. Depending on how many turn ins the seller has done to get the doll, i'd expect a hefty hefty price tag attached to that doll. At a minimum I'd like look at spending 50-60k for the doll + the robe of distraction cost.
