Need hotkey/micro create help

To start I played EQ 99 to 05, hated changes so quit. I love this,but want to make gameplay more enjoyable, plus my typing is horrible/slow. I've tried to search forum, so forgive if this has been addressed. I want to make /assist them, plus other micros, but cant seem to get that window to type hotkey commands to pop up. Where do I find that, my actions don't show it, and right click empty key does nothing. I have reinstalled defalt ui, and reinstalled 1999 ui with newer style icons from forum. The easiest way to do it is type

/Hot Assist /assist Fakktoo (or whatever name you want to assist)

The other way is on your Actions window (where you have Sit, Camp, Follow, Disband) click on the "Socials" tab which is the furthest to the right, right click on any of the default ones (Wave, Duel, Consider ect) or go to pages 2-10 which will all be empty, erase everything, then type /Assist <Player name> on one of the lines and save it.

Ctrl+O by default Right click an empty box on any page of that tab.

As Triiz said it can be faster and easier to use the command to create a hotkey. But some of us like a GUI.

Remember to account for latency lag in more complex macros. And if you're using any form of speech be aware there is some anti-spam on p99 so you may have to use /pause 1, if you're doing multiple lines of speech.

After much trail n error figured out how to make, now hashing
out making them work...lol
