Porting Into Lavastorm - Everyone Falling From Sky - Can't Move

Dinged 49 and was porting into Lavastorm to buy new spells. It looked like I was floating in the sky and other players were falling past me. Plummeting like they were skydiving. And I couldnt move at all I had to gate out. What is going on?
