Watching AC-Gamer after talking to my brother who is playing on his tethered notebook and listening to Thoom the barbarian having internet issues reminded me I use TCP Optimizer on my notebook at work and it does an amazing job at cleaning up your Netcard settings for smoother gameplay, especially on weaker WiFi/tethered/hotspot connects. It allows me to play FPS games on Wegmans wifi during lunch to give you a example.
~NOT~ a persistent program that runs in the background
~NOT~ a paid or 'click no' to not install nonsense on your PC, its been around years
I first started using it to turn off my NODELAY settings for FPS games (in windows 10 because its easier then doing it yourself) but it really does a great job on non-landline connections.
Its FREE and you can find it at a few locations (google search link, pick your prefered link)
