![]() I've only had two monsters die on me under water recently, but I haven't been able to loot either corpses. The first corpse was a bulthar that I killed in Colbat scar. The second was the guardian of K'aron that I killed in Ocean of Tears.
The error is: You are too far away to loot that corpse You may not loot this corpse at this time.

![]() I think sometimes the mob actually dies above the water and the corpse is up high, when u go below the water you can't loot. At least, this is what seemed to happen to me in west wastes

![]() I had this issue recently as well on the Ancient Cyclops in OOT. I scrambled for almost 7 minutes trying to loot it and re log to update the corpse. In the end, what i think was happening, was that the actual "deathspot" was at the surface of the water, but your request to loot is based on the graphical corpse location which sinks. So the corpse location and graphic weren't in sync.
Eventually I was able to find that sweet spot where I was close enough to the "corpse cube" and the "corpse graphic" to gain access.

![]() I also had this happen in CS with a bulthar, spent a few minutes spamming a /loot macro at all heights and angles but couldn't loot the mob

![]() Definitely have had this happen to me, mob died on ramp to right arena, but couldn't loot. Eventually learned he was down in the right cubby, pretty far away. Think it is some kind of sync issue. Relogging showed me proper location of corpse. Happened to me in Cobalt Scar on wyverns too, when I was soloing them, again relogging cleared the issue.
