Default Coming back to EQ

I haven't played EQ since they came out with the Planes of Power. I am looking to come back to it and don't want any of that bull. How is the community here? Is it a large one or is it a ghost town here? I am really excited to give it a shot, and im setting it up now.

Big, healthy community.

In fact, almost everything is camped all the time!

this..

many fine people on here also... but be warned. There are a larger amount of asshats then you may expect.

In old EQ there were asshats but there are many more here than in 1999-2002. Thats just the mentality of the net now days. Not much one can do about that.

you can see the current number of players online atm on the home page. usually anywhere from 400-800 at a time, which is more than plenty for just the classic zones we have. the forum is very active. refreshing it every 5 minutes will yield 10-20 new posts at most times.

to put it plainly, if you liked old EQ, you'd be stupid to not give this a try [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Yes for the most part the community is mature and knows there roles and has experience with the game even for people who would be new to EQ they would have a good playing experience. Its a breath of fresh air. I also met alot of nice people who have helped me out as well and made a good bit of friends.

The best part I think is that peoples who play here usually played EQ as their first MMO and thus are used to the harshness that should be in an eic game. Not quite like the WoW-kids that are used to getting stuff for free with no risk.

Not only that, but you don't see WoW defenders crying about WoW haters either......

This community is pretty similar to what I remember even when I played thru OOW. Just a lot more mature and patient.
