![]() Either my screen locks up @ 0 seconds of camp, or it'll log out like im about to see character select but stay black and crash, same error everytime - EverQuest has detected that your client may have crashed. It is often possible to determine where and why the crash occurred. Click yes to send data... etc etc.
This all began when I went to windows 8.1, once in a blue moon i'll go to character select and not crash, wouldn't be an issue but everytime I do crash while camping I gotta wait for IP exemption to get back in. - 1k red plat with some gear and some power leveling to anyone that helps me fix this issue! ![]() Did you have eq installed in the default program files location?
Try moving it out of that. Try the root of a drive.

![]() I run Win8 on one of my boxes. And I switch eqgames.exe to a different compatibility mode and have been fine since.
WARNING: this will erase all of your UIs and your INI. So backup before you do this. | ||

![]() You need to right click your eqgame shortcut, go to properties, compatibility and set it to windows XP compatibility, then apply. Service pack 2 should be fine.
