Default Druids Vs. Ice Giants

Buddy of mine finally got his Shaman to level 49 and wants to try out Ice Giants in Everfrost. He wants to know if I want to tag along and I figure I can't miss a chance at getting killed so I'm going to use my Druid, who is level 47-48.

Since we'll be grouping, I'll be root/rotting... Should I use a different setup or go with Enveloping Roots - Ensnare - Drifting Death - Immolate?

I thought about getting the Elder Spiritist's Vambraces.

I take it that Drones of Doom will stack with Drifting Death and Immolate if I cast it from the Elder Spiritist's Vambraces?

Drones of Doom will not stack with Drifting Death (although both of those stack with Winged Death, our lvl 53 dot), but it IS mana-free.

Can even quad them with Luminescent Staff [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Takes ages at your level though, untill you get Lightning Blast. That will speed it up, problem will be getting your mana back up before respawn though.

Just keep it in mind for later levels [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Reason I asked because I saw this listed in one of the Druid guides...

For quicker killing, you can use both your magic based DoT line (Stinging Swarm line) and your fire based DoT line (Flame lick line).

Tip (1) : if you have the Elder Spiritist's Vambraces you can also use them in order to triple DoT the MoB (it stacks).

I know Drifting Death is a Magic based Damage over Time and Immolate is a Damage over Time with Debuff so I figured it would work.

Is there any 2 dots that will stack with Drones of Doom if casted with the ESV before level 53?

Well I did my homework and found the answer to my question...

Level 44: Drifting Death and Immolate.
Level 46: ESV and Immolate. Saves on mana.
Level 52: Breath of Ro and ESV.
Level 53: Breath of Ro, Winged Death and ESV.
Level 53-60: Breath of Ro, Winged Death, ESV and Epic.
