Default Bard Charm duration incorrect

May 2001 Patch

Quote:
Increased duration on Bard Charm songs to 18 seconds from 12 seconds.
Should be 2 tick duration until 6 months into Velious. 3 tick duration is too good for a class that can continually move and cast.

That being said, maybe some NPC assist code could be looked at for this to facilitate classic swarm kiting.

Bump for the npc assist code allowing classic swarm kiting (gather social agro swarm, charm one of them, let the pack beat it down, break charm, repeat) I miss my old school, real, swarm kiting.

Project 1999 is already at least 6 months into Velious patches.
Check the 2016 patch notes.

So this bug report is null.
---
June part 2 (2001) patch should be coming next big update on p99.

The bug report is not null as they are setting timelines for everything even if it has passed.

It is also worth noting my original post was about 2 years ago.

It's still not a bug. If they are still setting timelines then this should have been covered by now. As it is stated very clearly in the patch notes. Via the popular patch notes site you linked.

Take your beef up with the necro poster.

What Daldaen is referring to is Nilbog and crew can set a property on the code or what not to have this fix automatically implemented at a certain point of a p99 timeline. We understand it is past the current timeline, but is still worth fixing for future progression servers. So if they can put this fix in now, whenever they launch a new server, the 2 tick bard charm duration will be available day one, then auto-fix 6 months into velious timeline (without having to patch).

Daldaen, I for one truly appreciate all the research you do to make this server more classic. If you need anything in game hit me up.

Yes it is.

The work done here benefits all future progression servers, this thread is a contribution towards that goal.

OP is over 2 years old. It's not a bug.

If they haven't made a note in the timeline at this point. I'm scared.

Fortunately Nilbog doesn't care about your state of mind. He just cares about classic.

Bard charm being 18 seconds versus 12 seconds is a relatively minor change in the grand scheme of things, but it is a classic one. So it's certainly conceivable that it has been skipped over. But I'm sure it will eventually be addressed
