Im thinking of doing an iksar SK, would i regret not going ogre for the FSI?

How about Blood ember armor clickies are they useful at all?

Lack of slam with a 2hander, will that make much difference?

I don't think you'll regret it. Lots of Warrior MTs chose Iksar over Ogre, and they share similar concerns about the value of FSI and Ogre stats. For those Iksar the AC/Defense bonus outweighs the value of the FSI.

Only you know how important ogre bash resistance is to you. As a Shadow Knight you can live without it and not necessarily miss it much, but some people really get annoyed by the occasional stun. Just me, personally, I'd rather have the Iksar regen...it's nice to gain hit points, even if slowly, while feigned someplace or hiding in a corner after being the sole survivor of a wipe.

Some of the Blood Ember armor pieces are nice to have. The gauntlets, in particular, are handy as a no-mana snare. That being said, all of these pieces fall into the convenience category, and you can live without them. None of them are necessary or life-changing like a pre-nerf Circlet.

Slam is nice but you won't miss it all that much. A lot of Iksars will wind up wielding Greenmist with a shield anyway, eventually.

Tried troll SK once, felt horrible. Front stun immunity is prty hype and easily best racial perk in game. The higher str/sta helps also. Heard rumors the AC boost isn't actually there, not sure. Regen stops mattering later levels, and you oughta be grouping anyway rather than soloing. And even if you are soloing, fear kite is the way.

regarding blood ember, gauntlets are nice to save mana, but not required, the nice item is the leg. FD clicky is great, longer cast time meaning it's hard to use but no cooldown after a failed attempt, that's invaluable after a first failure using the spell... and stats on it are nice too unlike most other pieces...

^BE legs become useless at 60 except when oom(dodging faction on aary etc)

I just can't get over the way Ogres fall... And the size is tough, had I been old school enough to get a dark elf mask I might have gone with Ogre.

Human is my choice because, Fashionquest.

The iksar 2HS is horrible, but:

a) You should be using a shield and a 1H you purchased from A/A for 50k

b) It's fixable. Zaela has a patch somewhere on the forums

Roll a Dark Elf SK. Put your starting points in STR and STA. You'll have plenty of INT for mana. You'll look like a badass, can deal with EC merchants after a few orc pawn kills, and you've got plenty of places to hunt that's not too far a jog from Neriak.
