i need help! problems logging in and my character is not coming up

i tried to log into everquest and when i did it says i need new files but my character is not coming up nothing is the same as when i use to log in. if i get the files should my account go back to normal? i dont know what happened to my character!!!!!! is there a way to get your characters back....how did it just vanish? please someone help me!

It is there, you just need to download and install patch files. Go to main page then "Getting Started." ^^

'about halfway down page is a link to the v43 files. Extract those and drop them in your eq directory. I would not include the ui folder though it caused initializzation problem for me.

Did you install patch v43 files yet or not?
If not, go there:

And click the patch file and install it into your EQ directory. Once done, you will be able to retrieve your past characters

i will try this and hopefully it will work i was able to log on about a month ago no problem but yesterday it wouldnt let me. so i hope this works

Yeah whenever they issue an update, your characters will disappear and there will be t ft that says something like "your spell files are out of date" where character names should be. Once you install the new files, your characters will be back ^^

that should definitely work since you didn't log for a month and patch happened 11 days ago.
