Default Non-traditional melee duos

Hi, haven't played for a long time; never was a raid player. Got a question about doing!

I see the threads about enc / clr or sha / monk, but are the other non-traditional duos that would be doable / fun / challenging?

For example, are there "workable" duos with a paladin + another melee class?

pal / rog
pal / monk

Pal to keep aggro and heal to reduce downtime...

If we do play, we'd be group content / explore and at most casual raid (if even that).

between these two I'd go pal/rog... more DPS. and in the second option, since the mnk can tank good I'd rather replace the pal with a caster that can also heal...

Never did here as my gear is generally junk, but done ENC/ROG in Seb on live by stun-locking mobs. Best done vs caster frogs so enc can tap mana for less downtime.

Have done pal/monk before, but my monk was tougher so she got to to tank (plus this was during the time corpses disappeared upon death, so Plan Oh Shit Run was 'monk distracts, pally runs to zone, monk FDs when safe').

It's a bit easier for the paladin to heal with the monk distracting the mob, BUT the monk has some issues holding aggro even against a lower level paladin. Not necessarily the best way to do it but we had some extenuating circumstances XD

Honestly, I love duoing with non traditional partners. On my Monk I like duoing with Necros even more than Shaman. Also Monk/Monk duo is fun and relatively effective, you can alternate tanking and with mend there's really not a ton of downtime, although I have a fungi and most of the Monks I duo with do as well. Honestly I duo with anything just for fun

Monk/monk is probably the best just because monks are so much better than other melees.

SK + anything or Ranger + anything can fear kite or normal kite nonstop although still not crazy efficient.

Rogue + Ranger......and then hate kite (ranger using a bow and snaring and flame lick to get agro...and rogue following behind backstabbing and evading).

No one needs to tank, stuff dies fast, you can kill anything that doesn't summon ((On my ranger, I duod Tantor with a rogue :P))

I guess you could do it SK + Rogue too.....but SK wouldn't have such great healing for the rogue or sow and stuff (and later their snare isn't as good).
