Hello Project 1999

I wanted to introduce myself to everyone.

Yesterday was my first day on blue. My lvl 6 half elf bard's named Jofur. I am currently camping Black Burrow. I am looking forward to grouping throughout this new life on Blue. This is one of the main reasons for joining Project 1999 so I hope I will not be let down.

I started playing EQ shortly after it was released and played heavily for a few years, long beard and all. Well not that long but you get the idea. I can't remember how many days I called into work sink because I played all night and wanted to keep playing through the next couple days with little or no sleep and little to no food. I hope to have a little more balance in my life now than I did back in the day.

My first character was Mordin a human Paladin until someone shouted they were feed up with the game because they died in Guk and was giving away everything on their corpse. Well should I say more....I was on my way to Guk even though I had never been there before. After getting some directions approximately where his corpse was, I bravely went into the depths of Guk. I found his corpse in water were the gators live. My paladin was so over weighted I could hardly walk but made my way up to the top to die just before the exit. Made my way back all the way from Qeynos to loot my corpse and quickly started a rogue. I never looked back.

My main character then became a halfling rogue on Bristlebane named Hoodwink Baamboozle. I loved to pull!! and Hide and sneak, BS, PP, PL and Pull!! Did I mention I love to Pull? I did a great job of it with my bows I made with my Paladin and fletching trade skill. I started a guild called "The Royal Guardians of Norrath" in 1999. At one point I think we had 25 to 30 main characters. I reached lvl 55 before leaving then coming back 10 years later to level to 100. My second main is a Bard and I was very good at keeping 3 mobs mez'ed while our group took on a fourth in the Warlord Room at Karnor's Castle. I have not played on live for a few years. I really loved grouping with close friends and making new ones over the years and more especially 1999-2000 time-frame. It seems players just want to box or solo now and I found it hard to find groups even being in a guild.

I was a guide for around 2 years maybe longer (1999 -2001). I loved that it paid my monthly membership plus it game me a great opportunity to help players with stuck corpses or death from falling when zoning. Getting named mobs to path back to their spawn point or /kill named mobs to reset their timer because of pathing issue or where mobs had fallen below the world. I had fun with player events we would have. I even created an event in Qeynos hills were I was trying to create a potion that would allow me to be taller/larger in size. You know us halflings are so short. Players had to bring common drops from mobs for plat. I would then try my potion on myself (Played a named maged PC but can't remember now who it was) and would grow big and then small again because the potion was not complete. I also enjoyed exploring areas that I could not go with my main. I guided when we had some decent powers. From what I hear it is not the same now. My mind fails me on what server I guided on. My guide name was Baamboozle Hoodwink (halfling Rogue). Yea, I got away with that.

Anyway, I think I babbled on long enough. Please look me up if you have a character around lvl 10 as of this post. I would like to join a guild at some point. I am on the east cost and will try to be logged in around 9:00 PM and play to about 1:00 - 200 AM during the week and will try to put more time in on the weekends.
