Stopped playing a year ago, don't know my password. What do I do?

I don't know my password to login to my character select screen. However, I have access to my original email account and to my forum account. I don't recall whether or not I associated my phone to my account.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Used to play Ronzer in game about a year ago. Falling on hard times now and I need a good distraction again.

If you need a dstraction start a new account and grind it out. It's the best way.

If you used the forums to create the account you can petition a password change. If you did it over at eqemu GL it's near impossible to get access to old accounts unless you know someone working on staff over there.

How can I petition a password change? I'm sorry, I never used the forums much when I first started. I do remember needing them to sign up however. I signed up maybe 16 to 18 months ago and stopped playing a bit less than a year ago.

There are 3 or 4 people that have GM powers on this server and they are all volunteers who have real lives. Summer time is always slow for GM responses to things. Be patient.

Okay, fair enough. I know what it's like to be completely swamped by everything. EQ is my escape from all that, and it has been in some form for more than half my life. Don't mean to get sentimental, but sometimes you have to go back to the basics when things are tough.

Wait times are anywhere from 4 to 7 weeks. You might want to like I said make a new account until you get back an answer.

This has been resolved. For those of you unaware, we work from oldest to newest. The only advice I can give you is be patient and provide all the information that's posted in the sticky. So many petitions look like this;

Hi I tried doing this quest and the NPC ate my items, anything you can do?

Taken straight from the sticky;

Please provide as much information as possible, like account names and character names, when petitioning, or your petition may be ignored.

Please use the appropriate prefixes when posting.

Prefixes are also important. One day I spend doing only reimbursements, the next IP exempts, etc. It's not uncommon for a petition to take longer than normal to resolve since an incorrect prefix was used.
