Resist gear (monk)

As I make my way thru my low-mid 50's my thoughts turn to resist gear so I can effectively pull for groups and raids.

I'm thinking of getting a pair of diamond velium rings and a frog crown as they are not too expensive (3-3.5k? for the 3 pieces totaling 36 resist cold and fire and 16 everything else). Then start saving for the velium blue diamond bracelets (7k for the pair).

Any other ideas or thoughts that I'm over looking?
