[Sneezing]

Hi everyone,

I'm just starting out again, Sneezing is my level 8 Dwarf Cleric, looking to level up slowly and casually.

I played EQ live from 99 to 2002 before I stopped playing because I was going to college. I graduated 10 years ago, have a career and am married and bought a house. Life has slowed down now since I don't have any kids so I decided to explore playing EQ again, especially since P99 is the exact timeframe when I was active.

I played on the E'ci server and mained a Half Elf Druid. Got him to level 60 and completed my Epic Weapon quest. I think I was pretty well geared for being a little more of a casual player (definitely wasn't in any hardcore guild that raided all the time). Had a blast playing this game and thoroughly enjoyed helping other people as much as I could especially when I got to the higher levels towards the end of the time I played.

Some of the stuff I can remember doing back in those days:
1. Extremely slow leveling, but loved group play when I had a chance. Was hard getting groups as a Half Elf Druid since the base stats weren't as good as other races.
2. East Commons auction house for hours on end.
3. Huge dragon raids, plenty of wipes and moments of triumph and glory when winning a roll for a rare drop.
4. Helping to camp Faydedar in the middle of the ocean with other Druids epics and then having a chance to frantically kite him when he finally spawned (luckily for me this was patched before I was at this step in my epic).
5. Plane of Fear raids I thought were so fun, and how crazy it was when the entire group loaded in there and had to fight for the pull spot.
6. Being disconnected because somebody called my house phone and my modem cut out. This lead to a lot of corpse runs [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
7. Attending player weddings.
8. Finally getting a Bilge Farfathom spawn and having someone steal my kill.
9. Killing that big turtle boss, I forget it's name.
10. Getting killed by a train of spectres in Oasis countless times, actually just getting killed by trains in general countless times.

Project99 definitely takes me right back to those days. But I forget SO much of this game! I feel like I used to know everything about Everquest and now it is hard to believe how slow I am.

I decided to main a Cleric this time as I like a supporting role and having a little easier time finding groups (something that I felt was pretty difficult sometimes maining a Druid).

I don't have nearly as much time now as I used to when I played live, but hoping to grow into the community again and play when I am able. Hoping to meet some of you in game (on blue server) if you don't mind a reborn newbie.
