Gaming Keypad

Does anyone use a gaming keypad to play?

I play on my laptop and have noticed that the spacing between keys are just ever so slightly more than a regular keyboard and they are flat which results in an awkward playing experience. I've thought about buying a keyboard to hook up externally but then I thought about a gaming keypad. Does anyone have any suggestions?
