![]() I'm going to be honest, I don't like the current Everquest. Not because it's "too modern", but because it's overall become soulless and the most important thing, the community, simply isn't there except end-game stuff... which, to me, is out of my reach if I don't have a community to play with.
On the other hand, being a tighter-knit group, I can see even from the front page alone that P99 has more of a community, having more players in one server than you generally find in Everquest proper. (I'm mostly interested in the non-Red server) I still remember my first experience with Everquest - I was probably 12, my brother let me log into his EQ account, and I promptly fell in some water and drowned because I couldn't figure out how to swim, lol! The sad thing is, it was on an Iksar... I'm sure I shouldn't have that problem *now*. What are some things I should know about, before joining this game? I kinda wanna start with a Bard, maybe get used to song-twisting without the /melody command. I know that race matters more in P99 than it does in the official game. I see that I'm going to be missing the majority of my opportunity to take in the EXP bonus, but oh well. Such is life. Looking forward to joining this community. Hopefully I can get used to the differences between this game then and now. (And no, graphics aren't all that important to me, it's mostly gameplay that I'm probably going to struggle with XD) | ||

![]() All hail the nostalgia of Everquest. Hello friend, bard is a great pick, super fun class. As far as your desire to interact with the community, there is a guild that just started up comprised of brand new players. Vita Infinite i think is the name, I would recommend joining, as it's a guild just for socializing and grouping as you level.
