Default How many people do you need for -

A classic progression guild?

A kunark progression guild?

A velious progression guild?


Looking at starting a capped membership progression guild on red in early August. I'm hoping it will be able to attract new blood. The membership cap will increase as we move onto each expansion and maybe 5 years from now we'll contest but up until that point it's about love for pals and Everquest

A few pals of mine are into this. Let me know if you want in.

Yeah thought about the Mage thing haha if we have really low numbers we might do a Mage suad to clear content but I think it would be better for us to have a diverse group for fun mainly.

Should probably also note that this guild will try to operate during non raid times for the bigger guilds in case any of their members want to play too.

This guild will be different from a lot of others on red because our mission won't be to talk shit about others. We're here to play the long game.

May red live for 10,000 years

Anyone seen John on lately?

Well, his Mage is stuck in Sky farming that princess mob every 5-6 hours for her rare drop for the final piece of his epic, so he's only on a few minutes a day.

The problem with your timeframe is you can progress through Classic--->Kunark--->Planes (minus CT)--->intro velly raids in two months from scratch with a modest raid schedule.

That's assuming no PVP.

If your outlook is to try to keep a playerbase with low attrition you'll need to keep that pace. Otherwise you'll be filling the hole with three new members for each two you lose.

If I'm not mistaken (and I haven't played here since the new year) this is basically what Rodarin was trying to do? It can't really happen bc nobody wants to do it.

Find 12-18 for classic, 18-24 for Kunark, 24-30 for revamped planes (innoruuk and to abbreviate planar clears). Make sure everyone has 90% RA on 3 nights a week for 4-5 hours. Set classes, no main switches, it could be fun, no drug abuse.

It'll never be created from this pool though, gotta dig em up from older EQ playerbase from other communities. Make sure everyone is from the same timezone. Be a great influential, patient and charismatic guild leader.

25 for classic asuming you arent using any kunark or velious gear
35 for Kunark if you want to kill Hoshkar
A solid 65 with good class comp for velious if you want to kill AoW, Vyemm, Tunare eventually

Blue kills Vyemm with 40 and no sit casting.
