Is this still dropping? I went on vacation right after the latest patch and I kept putting it off to go pick a few up off the ground. I ran around the gnome island and on the icebergs near by and I'm not finding any.

Are they comparable to finding skinning rocks in ew or yew leaves in wl as far as ground spawns go?

I found all of mine on the arcs of ice bergs to the far north; you prolly have to check every ice berg. I've seen them spawn on the vertical wall of one of them or on top as well, so look carefully.
